  • This is the only official portal through which a person can apply for UGC NET.

  • Fill up the form with all details as prompted in the registration process.
  • Now use your Aadhaar/Identity proof to create login.

  • Personal details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, etc..

  1. JRF: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01st day of the month in which the examination is closed i.e. 01.01.2025.
    • There is a relaxation of upto 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and women applicants.
    • The relaxation will also be offered to the research experience candidates, up to the duration
    • Spent on research in the relevant / related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a
    • maximum of 5 years.
    • Candidates with an L.L.M. degree get a 3-year age relaxation, there is 5 years of relaxation for armed forces service, based on their service duration as of the first day of the application month.
  1. Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
  2. Admission to PhD: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Admission to PhD.
