WBTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates have to fulfill specific academic qualifications based on the level they wish to teach while appearing for the WBTET 2025 exam. The WBTET Eligibility Criteria 2025 is divided into two categories—Paper-I (Primary Level) and Paper-II (Upper Primary Level). Paper  Educational Qualification 
Eligibility for Paper-I (Classes I to V)
  • Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • Passed Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed (in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002)
  • Passed Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • Graduation and a 2-year D.El.Ed or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
  • Final-year students of D.El.Ed or B.Ed can also apply, but they must meet the eligibility before the appointment
Eligibility for Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII)
  • Graduation and a 2-year D.El.Ed
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and B.Ed (as per NCTE Regulations)
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
  • Final-year candidates of B.Ed or D.El.Ed programs are also eligible to apply

WBTET 2025 Admit Card

The WBTET 2025 Admit Card is a mandatory document that candidates have to carry to the examination center along with government-issued ID. The WBTET Admit Card 2025 is expected to be released by the WBBPE in August 2025 (tentative), around two weeks before the exam date. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website using their application number and date of birth.

WBTET 2025 Result 

The WBTET 2025 result will be released by the WBBPE in October or November 2025 (tentatively) on the official website. The WBTET Result 2025 will include details such as the qualifying status, scorecard, and cut-off marks for both Paper I and Paper II. Only candidates who score a minimum of 60% or more (i.e., 90 out of 150) will be considered qualified.
