Paper 1: Primary Teacher (Classes 1 to 5)

• Candidates must have at least 50% in their Class 12 (Secondary) tests with an additional qualification of obtaining 2 years of training for elementary education as Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). 
• Candidates need to finish Class 12 with a minimum of 50% in their exams and complete a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
• Candidates need to obtain 50% marks in Class 12 graduation while completing a 2-year program called the Diploma in Special Education from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). 
• Graduation in any stream with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

Paper 2: Upper Primary Teacher (Classes 6 to 8)

• The requirements for admission to second grade teaching positions include a bachelor’s degree along with B.Ed. certification and at least 50 percent marks. Teaching candidates often select Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) degrees as their major qualification since it combines subject competence with strong teaching techniques.
• A candidate needs to complete Class 12 with 50% marks along with the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). 
• Candidates need a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 followed by completion of a 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed integrated program.

1. Candidates must thoroughly verify their eligibility before applying for the exam. Applications from ineligible candidates will be rejected, and application fee is non-refundable as well.
2. The admit card is a mandatory document which must be carried for entry into the examination hall. Candidates must download and print it from the official website. 
3. Arrive at the examination center 1 hour before the reporting time to avoid last-minute hurries. Candidates that are coming late may not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
4. Electronic gadgets like calculators, mobile phones, and any form of written material are strictly prohibited inside examination centers. 
5. There is no upper age limit for applying in the Manipur TET exam.
6. The TET eligibility certificate is typically valid for a lifetime. This certificate qualifies candidates to apply for teaching positions in their respective categories.
