For PSTET Paper I (Primary Level: Classes I to V)
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed, following NCTE norms OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed.
For PSTET Paper II (Upper Primary Level: Classes VI to VIII)
  • Graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in a 1-year B.Ed., following NCTE norms OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
