- General category candidates securing at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree.
- SC/ST/OBC/SBC/DT(VJ)/NT/Transgender/PwD/Orphans securing 50% marks.
- Candidates in the first year of a two-year Master’s course or equivalent are not eligible.
- Final year candidates can apply provisionally on the condition that they successfully complete their degree with the required percentage within two years.
MH SET Reservation and Category Certificate
Only candidates from Maharashtra and Goa can benefit from the reservation. All others must apply under the General Category with valid category certificates.
MH SET Age Limit
No upper age limit exists for candidates applying for MH SET.
Previous SET Candidates
Candidates, who were qualified SET in the same subject, shall not be appearing again for the test in that subject.
Exemption from SET
Exemption from SET shall be as per decision of U.G.C. and State Government time to time.
No Mark Sheet Issued
The SET Nodal Agency issues no mark sheet. The qualified candidates receive e-certificates and the employer can verify the result from the website.
Reservation Policy for MH SET
The MH SET follows and adheres to the Reservation Policy of UGC along with the Government of Maharashtra. Facilities of a Scribe or Reader are afforded to candidates in accordance to their needs during the MH SET exam under the eligibility criteria of persons with Benchmark Disabilities as defined in RPwD Act, 2016. Maharashtra State Eligibility Test conducts 32 subjects. However, the candidates who already are through in MH SET in one subject do not have permission to attempt in the same subject of MH SET again. Candidates are necessary to appear for the NET/SET in their concerned PG subject. If the PG subject is not mentioned then they can apply through the UGC/CSIR NET in the concerned adjacent subject as per the decision of UGC(NET). MH SET Application Form
The application form of MH SET is available on the official website.
