The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a UGC NET 2023 notification for the December cycle. As per the notification, the exam has been scheduled to be held 6-22 December 2023, across India. The UGC has designed a UGC NET Syllabus 2023 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 to assess the candidates’ research aptitude, teaching aptitude, reasoning ability, communication skills, reading comprehension, and knowledge of ICT, development, environment, and the higher education system.
UGC NET Syllabus 2023 for Paper 2 is subject subject-oriented paper that covers the syllabus of the subject selected by the candidate. This paper includes the research methods, history of the subject, current trends and developments in the subject, and major concepts and theories.
Paper I: It consists of 50 Questions & 100 marks
Paper II: It consists of 100 Questions & 200 marks.
These two papers are conducted in the same session (without any break).
Paper I is the same for all candidates and Paper 2 is based on the selected subject by the candidates.
UGC NET 2023 Exam is an online exam i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT). The online mode of the exam conducts two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, with any break. Both papers consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
