Candidate should hold a doctorate degree in the appropriate field from an accredited university
Should have at least 10 years of teaching and/or research experience after the Ph.D. degree
Should have served at least 5 years as an Associate Professor and/or above
Should have a proven record of scholarly publications in refereed journals or books
Experience in supervising doctoral candidates will be regarded as highly desirable
Doctorate degree in the relevant field of study
Minimum 8 years of post-doctoral experience in teaching and research
At least 3 years in the rank of Associate Professor
Strong academic publication record
Supervisory experience of doctoral candidates is a plus
Doctorate degree from a recognized University
Minimum 5 years of post-doctoral teaching/research experience
NET/SET qualification (mandatory for specific disciplines)
Good research publication record

Comprehensive interview by a Board of Experts
Cumulative performance through all phases resulting in final selection
SPPU offers lucrative remuneration structures under the 7th Pay Commission:
Professor: around Rs. 1,44,200/- (Level 14 Pay Matrix)
Associate Professor: around Rs. 91,600/- (Level 13 Pay Matrix)
Assistant Professor: Rs. 54,000/- from Level 10 Pay Matrix and above
Note: Income may actually be around a few thousand rupees more depending on qualities and experience of applicants and the requirements or norms of the department.
