What is GATE?

GATE 2025 is a national level entrance examination conducted by IIT Roorkee in collaboration with seven other Indian Institutes of Technology. It serves as the gateway to entry into several postgraduate engineering and sciences programs as well as recruitment into Public Sector Undertakings.

Application Process

  • For female/SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs. 900 (during regular period), Rs. 1400 (through late period)

Exam Pattern:

  • Test mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Test duration: 3 hours

  • Questions asked: Total 65

  • Marking scheme: Maximum marks=100

  • Question types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), Numerical Answer Type (NAT)

  • Subject-based questions: General Aptitude (15 marks) + the rest 85 marks

Subjects:

GATE 2025 includes 30 papers in various disciplines of engineering and sciences. New additions for the current year include Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Syllabus:
