The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) in 2024. This national-level examination determines candidates' eligibility for Junior Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions in various colleges and universities across India.

The CSIR NET 2024 exam is scheduled for 25, 26, and 27 June 2024. The admit cards will be released on 20 June 2024, five days before the examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download their admit cards from the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in

Examination Schedule 

The CSIR NET will be held over three days in two shifts each day. Candidates should prepare accordingly and arrive at the test center on time.

CSIR NET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme 

 The CSIR NET examination consists of five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Each subject will have 150 multiple-choice questions, and the exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English. The marking scheme includes awarding 1 mark for each correct answer and deducting 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The exam duration is 180 minutes.

CSIR NET Important Details and Instructions on Admit Card 

The admit card is a vital document that candidates must carry to the examination center. It contains vital information and instructions regarding the exam. The information contained on the admit card includes: 

  • Candidate Information: Name, roll number, date of birth, photograph, and signature.

  1. Prohibited Items: Do not bring electronic gadgets such as digital watches, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices into the examination hall. 

  1. Identity Proof: Along with the admit card, candidates must bring two identity proofs (e.g., Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport).
