State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Commission, Assam (N.E. Region) has released the notification for Assam SLET 2024. Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian Citizens only

• Age Limit: No age limit

• Qualification: 2-year Master's Degree or equivalent from a UGC recognized institute

• Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates)

• Appearing Candidates: The students in the final year of the Master's degree may also apply

Application procedure

1. One needs to visit the official website of SLET Commission

2. After that click on the link "Apply Online" for Assam SLET 2024

3. Registration by entering basic information and generating login credentials

4. Log in and fill up the application form with personal details, qualifications, and work experience

5. Upload the requisite documents (Photo, Signature, Certificates)

6. Pay the prescribed fee online (Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, UPI)

7. Submit the form and download the acknowledgment for future use

The Assam SLET 2024 is conducted for two papers:

Paper I (General Paper)

• 50 objective-type questions

• Covers general subjects such as Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Comprehension, Communication, Mathematical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Information & Communication Technology, People & Environment, Higher Education System

• Duration: 1 hour

• Total Marks: 100

Paper II (Subject Specific)

• 100 objective-type questions

• Duration: 2 hours

• Total Marks: 200

The Assam SLET 2024 syllabus is similar to the UGC NET syllabus. Candidates are advised to:

2. To know the core concepts of any one subject that they have chosen for Paper II

3. Study all the areas covered by Paper I exhaustively

4. Referring to standard textbooks and latest developments from your subject area

Preparation Strategy

1. Understand the pattern of holding the examination and the syllabus covered under the examination

Results and Cut-off Marks

• The day of the announcement of results: 31st July 2024

• The result will include a scorecard, merit list, and category-wise cut-off marks

• Cut-off marks available for each of the 29 subjects and categories.

After Examination

1. Certificate Generation: The candidate who gets qualified, he will get e-certificate

2. Validity: SLET certificate is valid for lifetime to work as Assistant Professor in Indian universities/ colleges

3. Verification: Verification of certificates can be checked with the official website of the SLET Commission by the employer

Important Instructions

• The candidate should carry his Admit Card with him and one valid photo id card to the examination center

• No electronic device, including mobile phone, shall be brought by any means inside the Examination Hall.

• One hour before the commencement of examination, the Candidates shall report at the examination centre.

• Before the Candidate answers the questions, all the instructions given on the OMR Sheet must be read carefully.

• Only blue or black ball-point pen should be applied for marking the answers on the OMR Sheet while answering the questions.
