The AWES Online Screening Test (OST) will be conducted on 23-24 November 2024 and registration shall begin on 10 September 2024 to 25 October 2024. Online applications are invited from all the candidates across India for the recruitment. It is invited through the official website.

Academic qualification and professional requirements for the above posts should be satisfied by the candidates.
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
Educational Qualification: Post-Graduation in the subject matter concerning with at least 50% marks.
Professional Qualification: B.Ed. with 50% marks.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in relevant subjects with 50% marks.
Professional Qualification: B.Ed. with 50% marks.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any field with 50% marks.
Professional Qualification: Two years D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed. OR B.ED with six months PDPET/Bridge Course from an NCTE accredited institution
Note: Candidates applying for the position of TGT and PRT are required to be qualified in the CTET / TET, which is not required for the Online Screening Test (OST).
The candidates need to have an age criterion as mentioned below to be eligible:
Fresh Candidates (With no teaching experience):
Less than 40 years (For Army Spouses, and others).
Army Spouses: Below 45 years.
Others: Below 57 years.
Army Spouses: Below 50 years.
Army Spouses: Below 57 years.
Total questions that would be there in the AWES Online Screening Test (OST) would be 200. The duration of the test would be 3 hours. The marks to be maintained for the test would be 200.
Marking Scheme:
1 mark for the right answer.
Negative Marking: The mark would be deducted 1/4th of the mark in case one provides a wrong answer.
There will be three sections involved in the process of examination, and they are as follows:
Section A: Basic GK & Current Affairs – 10 Questions (5%)
Part B: Pedagogy, Curriculum & Education Policy – 20 Questions (10%)
Part C: Academic Proficiency (Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English, Hindi) – 170 Questions (85%)

The process is divided into the following phases:
Online Screening Test (OST): it is a multiple choice, and applicants have to pass it for entry into their respective posts. Such applicants who clear the OST will be granted AWES APS Scorecard lifetime valid.
Interview: the cleared OST candidates are called for an interview at the hands of Central Selection Board (CSB) in regular posts and Local Selection Board (LSB) in fixed-term posts.
Assessment and Skill Test:
Language Teachers: A 30-mark written test (essay and comprehension).
Computer Proficiency Test (as and when required).
The pay scale for teachers dealing with PGT, TGT, and PRT are relatively marketable. The minimum amount is ₹9,300 and the maximum is ₹34,800. Grade pay is also different for different positions:
PGT: ₹4,800
TGT: ₹4,600
PRT: ₹4,200
Apart from that, there are:
DA: 5.6% (80% of Central Government rates)
HRA: 12% (50% of Central Government rates).
